Something new!

Trendy Lippy!!

Hello Everyone, I'm back! I was not able to do a lot of my adventures for the last 2 months because I was so busy with my new part time job (you can read all about it in my old posts) and I could not juggle a lot things at the same time, I'm not a very organised person and my part time also ends at 10pm so I cannot really do much when I reach home.

- PS. I was supposed to do my first ever Desert Safari last February but unfortunately I could not find my files (YET), I'll find it soon so that you guys can read about it.

So, back to the topic. The new trend this 2016, the thing that is always on my timeline on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The LIPSTICK TATTOO!! (Not literally a tattoo). I got really curious and ordered myself one, I ordered it from a shop on Instagram here in the UAE and it's called Bloombox.ae (Please do follow and check this profile out, you can find good prices and good quality stuffs on here) - The purpose of the lip tattoo is to get your lips to have a natural red-ish, pink-ish look (it depends on what colour you choose)

I ordered the colour Sexy red while my friend ordered the Bubble pink, aside from the really cute packaging we also got freebies from @bloombox.ae

How to put on the lipstick / How to use the lipstick:

- Apply the lipstick on your lips

- Leave it on for 10 minutes

- Peel off the lipstick that was applied

After applying the lip tattoo

After results. See how it looks so natural on my lips.

I would like to thank Bloombox.ae for this lovely item, I highly recommend it to anyone that got interested in buying one. Don't forget to buy the legit Lip Tattoo because once you buy the Class B lipstick it may or may not give you allergies. So please be careful in purchasing this lipstick tattoo.

Sorry if I took a looooong time in posting a new post. I promise to be more active and dedicate time on my blog. I'm hoping that I'll be doing heaps more of adventures and trying lots of other things in the near future.

Tata for now, thank you for reading my blog x

Hot and Cold

I gave this blog entry the title Hot and Cold because I got inspired when I was listening to Katy Perry's 2008 song "Hot and Cold" the song revolved around the story of the couple who was basically a "moody" couple or rather "bipolar" couple. A couple that had problems in deciding, in agreeing with each other.

Moving on to the real reason why this is my title, the reason is not only because of Katy's song. Another reason is the fact that I've been through this situation already, I've been in a love - hate relationship, don't get me wrong "hate" is such a bitter word to be used but I really was in one. I loved him and I hated him at the same time, he basically made me crazy furious but I loved him anyway. This kind of relationship happens in the middle of your long term relationship, when the both of you are already too comfortable with each other but sometimes this happens at the start of your relationship (it depends) but for me it happened at the middle on my relationship. The "moody" adventures of me and him started, which was okay sometimes but as you get older, being in a "moody" relationship or "love-hate" relationship gets tiring, it gets annoying, you still love the person but every time you guys argue, you feel worried anxious because this might hit rock bottom any moment if you guys don't stop. And it will happen, one will get tired, one will let go and one will leave.

Don't let this happen to you!

Being moody is NOT the problem here, if you guys know how to handle your relationship and if you have established a strong foundation. No amount of arguing, bickering can tear you apart. You can be in a "love-hate" relationship but just do make sure that the love is the overpowering one, don't let their quirkiness nor their flaws annoy you or make you want to let them go.

If you're the moody one, make sure that you don't push pass your partner's limit, make sure that you think of them too when you're being moody, keep in mind that they're tolerating all your moodiness because they love you more than your moodiness, more than your annoying qualities. Don't take advantage of them!!

Being in a HOT and COLD relationship is basically a rollercoaster ride with your loved one, make sure you enjoy the ride and you hold on till the end.

As for me, my rollercoaster ride has finished. I'm no longer in one but I hope that if I ever do get into one again, we'll be able to finish the ride together.

First Adventure in 2016

Global Village!

Starting this blog by stating the fact that this is my first time going to Global Village. For the people who does not know what Global Village is, Global Village is claimed to be the largest seasonal extravaganza in the region (United Arab Emirates) that offers visitors an amazing array of festival, shopping and entertainment in an open-air theme park. Global Village is open from November to April and hosts over 70 countries presented over 36 pavilions with more than 50 fun rides and 26 restaurants offering food from around the world. (DubaiCalendar, 2015)

Before heading to Global Village, I made sure that I wore the right clothes. So I went on Pinterest and searched "Theme Park outfits"and I chose the one that I fancied the most and went with that look.

(Top: Shanna & Splash | Skirt: Kotton| Shoes: Carolina Boix)

Now you know what Global Village is, I would want to share my experience with everyone. I'll start off by praising Dubai's security because the area was secured with police officers, the police visibility was spot on. They made sure that the place was well protected and everything was in order and for that kudos Dubai security.

First thing I did when we arrived at Global Village is I took a lot of photos of the area and took a lot of selfies, all of my photos that were taken is all thanks to my mum. She was so supportive of taking my photos, she made sure that I got a picture with all of the good spots.

Aside from the wonderful scenery, the food are also so delicious. The first I tried were the roasted corn and castanas, which made me miss my grandparents because they absolutely adore roasted corn and castanas. The next food I got to munch on was a chicken burger from Saltan Ahmet Turkish Burger, it was my first time to try a turkish burger and I can totally recommend this burger. It tasted absolutely fantastic, it can be a bit pricey for a burger but it's really worth every dirham.

My overall experience in Global Village was delightful especially because I got to with my family, we weren't complete though some of my other family members were stuck at work but no worries I know that this won't be the last time I will be in Global Village.

For a more detailed blog entry, check out the video. You'll get to see me face one of my fears and you'll get to see bits and bobs of my quirkiness.

Hope you guys enjoyed this blog entry! Praying for more adventures like this! Showing my love you guys xx

New Year, Stronger Me!

My New Year's Resolution

I'm posting my New Year's resolution a bit late because I had to figure out what I wanted to accomplish this 2016 and after a week of debating with myself I have finally jotted down my New Year's resolution.

- Lose weight (I always say this every year but this time, I'll keep my word)

- Lose weight = GOING TO THE GYM (Another resolution I would want to do and accomplish)

- Save up money for a new laptop (I've had my mini laptop for about 6 years now, it's time to pull the red velvet curtains down)

- Get my driver's license (Praying for this one)

- Save enough money for my travel to Paris (Either late this year or early next year)

- Push through with this blog (I'm doing quite a good job, I hope..)

All of these resolutions I will try to accomplish some of it seems impossible, e.g losing weight and going to the gym but I believe that I've grown last 2015 and I've finally become a stronger version of myself. I'm grateful that I met all the right people because they've somehow helped me become a better person, if it wasn't for them I would not be as strong as I am right now.

I also believe that since 2016 came my way, I've became more "fashionable" lady, with that being said..

Hope you guys had a lovely Winter Holiday, Don't forget to smile and stay positive. More blessings this 2016, Cheers!! xx

Amazing Endings!

Goodbye, 2015

Most people think that "Goodbyes"are hard and it is. But there are different kinds of goodbyes, the goodbye that I'm very fond of is the goodbye that does not hurt, a goodbye that means closing a door and opening a brand new door, a goodbye that opens more opportunities, more chances and more blessings. That's the goodbye that I'm very fond of.

As the year 2015 ends, I'm saying goodbye to the past heartaches & chances I did not take I am now ready for 2016, ready to take new adventures and opportunities coming my way. That being said, on the 30th of December 2015 me and my best friend went to our final interview in Nestle.

(Palm Jumeirah Tram Stop) (Photo taken by Sharina Manaog)

For our final interview, I went for the classic black and white formal clothes.

(Dress: H&M | Sandals: Forever21 | Blazer: Shanna)

Our interview was held in the head office of Nestle, so we got to see what the Dubai Branch Nestle looked like and I can tell you it looked amazing. Most of the people I've encountered with there are kind and very accommodating.

I cannot explain how thankful I am for the people that helped us go through this journey, the staff that helped us passed the interviews and the nerve wrecking question and answers. Without them we could not have done that good in the interviews.

Today December 31st 2015, the last day of the year, We got a message that we are officially part of the Nestle Team Dubai and I cannot thank God and everyone who helped us enough.

Goodbye 2015, Goodbye chances I did not take and Hello 2016, Hello New Opportunities and Hello New Experiences. (See, not all goodbyes are heartbreaking. Haha!). This is absolutely the best kickstart of my 2016, I'm hoping that you'll have a great one too.

Praying that everyone will have a safe and wonderful New Year! My love and prayers are with you xx

Moving forward..

(Instagram @PoemsPorn_)

I find this quote perfect for anyone that has been hurt and left with nothing but their broken heart. This quote speaks to anyone that has been utterly in love with one specific person and has been left with nothing but their empty promises and the thought of "forever".

Yes being in love is one of the best feelings ever but having your heart broken is also the one of the best ways to break you.  Don't get me wrong there is no bad thing in falling in love or breaking apart the only wrong thing is how the person takes all of these in.

Some people when they fall in love they tend to give all of they have to the person they love, take me for example I've fallen in and out of love already. When I was still in love, I gave all that I can to the person I loved the most which was somehow wrong, you may wonder why this is wrong. It is wrong for one good reason, since I've given him all the love I forgot to save some for myself, I forgot to love myself and I forgot how to live my life without him so when we chose to go our separate ways it left me hanging and wondering how I must go on without him. I forgot that the most important thing to do first before you love someone is to love yourself first.

A lot of people may question and disagree with me, one can say that if you love someone you must give them your all and not leave anything for yourself and they may be right and I may be wrong but because I've personally experienced this trauma, it taught me to yes do love the person and yes please do give them your all but at least save some love for yourself,  so if the person you love has decided to go you won't be left empty handed.

Going back to the quote, as I said earlier it is perfect for people who has been left with nothing. Because I know that moving on / moving forward won't be as easy as it is said but once you put your mind to it and just decide to move forward it won't be as hard as you think it is, Yes you may still love the person, yes you may still miss the person but think about this at least every negative thing that has happened between you two has been cut off now, you will no longer cry because of him, you will no longer feel pain in your tummy when you guys are arguing over petty things and you will no longer hurt when he ignores you and decides that you're better off alone. You will no longer suffer that kind of pain, the only pain you should really feel is the pain in your cheeks when you smile when he/she does something sweet or the pain you feel in your stomach because you're laughing way too much with your friends, that's the only pain you should feel.

Because darling, why settle for someone that's going to hurt you when there's someone out there who can actually treat you 20 times better, So letting go is indeed beautiful yes it'll kill you along the way but at least it'll be a temporary pain, a pain that you will only feel for a little while (Yes, it may take months or years but no one is rushing you) and then after that it's gone, it's vanished and it's ended. No more crying at 3 am in the morning wondering why he/she hasn't replied to you, no more of those petty reasons, no more of those unwanted tears.

As soon as you've moved forward, I swear you'll be one of the strongest person alive because you have overcame all of heartbreaks and all of the instincts of giving up. You've made it you'll say to yourself and you'll be proud. And the next time you'll fall in love you'll make sure that you're capable and you won't ever get destroyed by it again.

But for now if you're still not able to move forward, that's okay take all the time that you need sweetheart. You'll get through it because this too shall pass.

Simbang Gabi!

Hello, Simbang Gabi!

Simbang Gabi is the time in December when Filipinos go to church before the break of dawn and attend the mass for 9 days (Including Christmas). Since I'm living in the UAE, we do not go to church before the break of dawn instead we go to church a little bit later than usual.

(Football field view, St. Mary's Dubai)

UAE is a muslim country therefore they do not celebrate Christmas but what's great in living in the UAE is the fact that the government nor the officials don't stop the people who celebrates Christmas, instead they let people celebrate and have fun.

Saint Mary's Dubai put up a giant Christmas tree inside the Church area so that the people who does celebrate Christmas will feel jollier.

The Christmas tree consists of Christmas balls shaped cards where you can write anything on it but most of the people who writes on the card writes their name. This was lit on the first day of Simbang Gabi. Over a thousand filipinos attend the Simbang Gabi every night, most of the areas of the church is jam packed.

There are a lot of sayings that if you complete the 9 days of Simbang Gabi you will be able to make a wish and it'll come true.

However during the 1st day of the Simbang Gabi the message of the Priest and the sermon that he gave was so touching and it goes something like this, “We are not attending Simbang Gabi for us and for our needs, we should attend Simbang Gabi because we are thankful that we are blessed. This is the time of the year where we should stop asking and start thanking God.” And this made me stop and realise that we do tend to forget to thank God for everything that we have been blessed with. So when the mass finally ended reality finally woke me up and made me achieve a new perspective in life which was thanking God more often rather than asking for something because God knows what is best and what is right for us everything that we're facing it is God's will.

Since this blog entry is all about thanking God for what we have, I would like to thank the 2 people who was with me tonight during the 4th night of Simbang Gabi.

        (Celine Cruz & Mark Miranda)

Another thing that I'm thankful for is the fact that I saw a friend that was about to go back to the Philippines in 4 days after nearly 6 months I got to see him again.

    (Lynsell Lapure)

Thank you for the countless blessings, make sure you thank God for all of the blessings that you are receiving everyday may it be big or small, thank God!

Winter's back!

Winter Break.

Since Mr. Hot weather has left United Arab Emirates for a little while, I took the chance and went out with these outfits. My outfits are mostly comfy and never "just for the sake of fashion I'm gonna wear something uncomfortable."

Here's my outfit #1, this is what I wore going to the capital city of UAE, Abu Dhabi. Since this was only the beggining of winter, I went with the kind of laid back outfit.

Demin jacket: Shana
Dress: H&M
Shoes: Converse
Bag: Michael Kors

My outfit #2 is more winter-y, since this photo was taken later this December, it got colder my outfit became more closed and thicker.

Sweater: Piazza Italia
Pants: A small shop near our place
Shoes: Combat boots H&M

My last and final outfit was taken just last week when the weather was not that cold, so I decided to wear something not so winter-y.

Top: H&M
Skirt: Forever 21
Shoes: A small shop near my place

I'm the kind of person who does not wear a lot of accessories, I only tend to wear my fave watch, my pearl rosary and my fave pair of Dior styled pearl earrings.

I enjoy mixing and matching my outfits (at times) because usually during winter I just  tend to wear sweatpants and an oversized hoodie but since I'm a "lady" now I probably should try being "girlish" but don't get me wrong oversized hoodies and sweatpants are still my fave style.
